Christophe Pourny was born and raised in the Var region of Southern France. Growing up in his parents Antique store in Fayence gave him a natural knowledge and affection for all types of furniture.
After University in NICE,  Pourny moved to Paris to apprentice with his Uncle Pierre Madel at his shop on the Rue Jacob.   Meeting so many American clients in Paris inspired him, and twenty five years ago Christophe moved to New York.
